Unplug the power cable from the back of the Airport Extreme. Locate the reset button. The reset button is just to the right of the power port. 2. Insert a pin, pen, or paperclip end into the reset button found on the back. 3. While holding the reset button in, reconnect the power plug into the male socket on the back of the Airport Extreme.

Apple AirPort Extreme 802.11n WiFi Base Station AirPort Extreme comes with a feature called AirPort Disk that allows you to share your external USB hard drive with all the users on your network. It also provides secure Internet access. Connect the external hard drive to the USB port on the back of your AirPort Extreme and you're good to go.
Apple outdid themselves when they put the AirPort Extreme Base Station on the market. It’s so easy to set up, a dead person could do it. I’ve had numerous routers and wi-fi extenders and this has the best coverage, stronger than advertised signal and speed by far. Why Apple stopped producing this is beyond my rational thinking.
