I can ping the inside of the PIX, so I believe that the tunnel is fine, but maybe the If the PIX is not configured to allow the Windows VPN client to connect then as you said, they're probably stuck. There are some 3rd party VPN clients available but I've no idea if they'll work and it will mean lots of configuration and testing anyway.

The VPN Client supports AES as an encryption algorithm starting with Cisco VPN Client release 3.6.1. The VPN Client supports key sizes of 128 bits and 256 bits only.
I connected to my PIX 501 VPN using the Cisco VPN client. The connect worked OK, but when I tried to test throughput by copying a file, it pushed the PIX to 99% CPU.
